About Vince

Vince White brings a wealth of creativity and charisma to the airwaves. Born in Maryport but forever devoted to Carlisle, Vince has been capturing the essence of his beloved city through pen-and-ink drawings since the early 1980s. His art, showcased in places like Tullie House and featured on everything from stationery to Christmas cards, is a testament to his passion for Carlisle’s rich heritage.

But Vince’s talents don’t stop at the canvas. A lover of soul music, he first spun records at the iconic King’s Hall before hosting a weekly soul show on CFM radio. Vince has also lent his voice and pen to cinema, music, and arts reviews in local publications, proving himself a man of many talents.

With a flair for the dramatic, Vince has acted in both film and theatre, sharing the stage with legends like Wee Georgie Wood OBE and Al Read at Her Majesty’s Theatre’s final show.

Still living in Carlisle, Vince continues to embrace his love for the city, music, and the arts, bringing his unique blend of passion and experience to every show he presents.
